5-14% cpu usage. Firefox 3, flash 10.

No problems here. High end system tho.. But on my other low end system it also works fine.

Yes it does perform better in IE, but even hd videos rarely bring it over 40%. Only flash stuff to max it out are games, which is expected.

The era of Firefox is over. Firefox 3 is going to be exactly what Communicator was for Netscape...the death knell. I'm done w/ it, if I can't watch embedded vids and have to copy urls into IE, and virtually every website uses flash video...what's the point of staying w/ Firefox? There is no point. Move your bookmarks and move on w/ your life and cherish the memories of browsers past. Goodbye Mozilla.

Been having problems with Flash playback in Firefox for well over a year now, maybe two years. Tried many different things to address it but no luck. In my case, Flash either eats up 60%+ CPU (if I'm lucky) or, more often, the video stops after 2-5 seconds. Very, very annoying. Thanks for this post.

I'm running XP Media Center SP2, AMD 64 X2 Dual-Core 6400

Krasimir,

oh...um...yeah. How could I have possibly missed Linux. Only one possible explanation...I goofed.

I shall correct accordingly. Thanks for catching it!

Hi all,

I've just installed the first build of Firefox 3.0.1 and will be checking out how things perform. The final is due towards the end of this month.

Just so you know.
